Built from the ground up.
Every component of the Buffalo Tarp system is designed, machined, and assembled in-house — engineered as a complete package, not a parts-bin assembly. Here's what makes it work.
Premium Cable Pulleys
Machined from solid billet high-strength steel — not stamped, not cast. Our anti-walk rear pulley design keeps the bearing locked in place under load, and the captured pulley system retains the cable even if the bed side is snagged in transit.
- Billet high-strength steel construction
- Anti-walk rear pulley design keeps bearing locked
- Sealed, high-quality bearings — no field greasing
- Captured cable path retains line if bed side snags
Direct Drive Motor
A high-torque electric motor drives the cable pulleys directly — no chain to stretch, break, or bind up in the cold. Fewer moving parts means fewer failure points, and the adjustable-width bearing and motor mount lets us drop a clean install onto any truck bed.
- High-torque electric motor, direct drive
- No chain — nothing to break or bind
- Fewer moving parts, fewer failure points
- Adjustable-width mount fits any bed
Durable Adjustable Bows
Galvanized steel bows, die-stamped and precision-formed for consistent geometry every time. The fully adjustable design means one part number covers a wide range of beds, and the integrated UHMW top rail slider keeps the tarp moving smoothly year after year.
- Galvanized steel — engineered for weather
- Die-stamped and precision-formed
- Fully adjustable to fit varying bed widths
- Integrated UHMW top rail slider
Innovative Rear Pulley Brackets
Fully adjustable for a tight, correct install on every bed. A billet one-piece tensioner replaces the multi-part designs that loosen over time, the built-in cable catch keeps the line where it belongs, and the stainless steel lower mount is available in standard or extended lengths.
- Fully adjustable — tight install every time
- Billet one-piece tensioner
- Built-in cable catch
- Stainless lower mount, standard or extended
